Insulin resistance, unable metabolize glucose, and living an inactive lifestyle have strong ties associated to common breathing disorders more commonly known as sleep apnea.

An increase of type 2 diabetes mellitus is found among people with sleep-disorders breathing characterized by multiple physiological deficits. During obstructive sleep apnea, lack of oxygen occurs in the blood stream due to breathing patterns, these symptoms has shown sever liver issues that are found in over-weight (obese) people.

The belief is obstructive sleep disorder can stress the liver in over-weight people, leading to inflammation. Although obesity and sleep apnea are not completely assiciated, the sleep apnea and obesity need to be dealt with separately.
