Several types of sleep apnea disorder require different treatments.

Insomnia is a common disease, leaving untreated, the ability to function has a negative impact to function during the day.  Problems can presist over into work performance, obesity, lending to social consequences.

Several methods can be used for different sleep stages of sleep.  Mainly, past research believed quanity over quality of sleep was the significant in terms to recharge batteries.

Todays research suggest that not only is quantity of sleep in important, also quality and amount of deep sleep is acquired is also significant.

Sleep Disorder Definitions:

Insomnia - Sleep problems, trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, can result in unrested morning or unexpected drowsiness during the day.

Sleep Apnea - occurs during sleep, pauses in breathing while asleep.  Each pause of breath is known as apnea and occurs when long pauses or breaths are missed.

Obstructive sleep apnea – A collapse in the upper airway during sleep, disruption of breathing ranging in 10 seconds or longer throughout the night.

Sleep Deprivation – lack of sufficent or undisturbed sleep.  Results can have physical and mental effects on the body.

Many people are unaware about insomnia and the physical and mental on the body.
