Regardless of sleep apnea accurance, habitual snoring and sleep apnea may be a cause of excessive daytime fatigue. Researchers who preformed tests on 400 randomly selected women of variuos ages found women who acknowledged snoring loudly where suseptable to falling asleep involuntarly during the day,and waking up unrefreshed. Researchers conclude that snoring is an independent cause of excessive daytime sleepiness and not merely a proxy for sleep apnea.
